Product Description

Monel alloy is an alloy of nickel (52%-68% content) and copper, containing small amounts of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. Monel alloy is stronger than pure nickel and resists various forms of corrosion, making it suitable for filament materials. This alloy offers a combination of strength and corrosion resistance, making it widely used in the chemical industry. Due to its high strength and excellent oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures, it is also employed in heat treatment applications for manufacturing various structural components.

Classification and Specifications

Classification

Monel 400 alloy contains 63% Ni and 28-34% Cu, with a certain amount of Fe. It is a solution-strengthened alloy requiring further strengthening through cold working. Monel 400 is widely used in the offshore and chemical industries.

Monel R405 is a solution-treated alloy developed from Monel 400, incorporating sulfur (≤0.06%) to enhance machinability. R405 exhibits excellent resistance to seawater and steam corrosion at elevated temperatures, primarily serving chemical processing, oil and gas, and offshore engineering applications.

Monel K-500 is a precipitation-hardening alloy enhanced with aluminum and titanium to achieve tensile strengths of 900-1200 MPa—approximately three times that of Monel 400. It combines high strength with corrosion resistance. Wire diameters range from 0.05-2.5 mm, suitable for fine weaving applications requiring 40 to 200 mesh.

Specifications

Width 0.5m–2.0m, Length 10m–30m, Mesh size range 5 mesh–600 mesh (customizable upon request)

Product Features
